Peterlee Show Committee have decided to provide, amongst other family entertainment, a Circus to mark the 40th Anniversary of Peterlee Show, originally named Peterlee Carnival.
The Circus
The Circus comes to town for the weekend, 8 performances over 2 days for all the family to watch. Workshops are also available between performances for adults and children to learn Circus skills. Tickets are £1.00 each and will be available the week prior to and also on the day from the Pavilion reception. Performance times are as follows:-

12.00 Parachute Display
Entertainment commencing at 12.00 noon with a display from the Parachute Team, continuing with Circus Performances and a mix and mingle of entertainment throughout the day. We also have an animal display including Meerkats, Spiders, Snakes and lots more.
Peterlee Show
The stage will this year be host to professional artists as well as our very own 'Peterlee Show's Search for a Star'. Auditions will be held on the Saturday afternoon before the stage entertainment and the final will be held on Sunday afternoon. Application Forms below, minimum age for entrants is 14 years old.

Stage entertainment will start at 5.15pm and continue until 10.00pm.

Companion Dog Show & Horticultural Open Show
Both Shows receive considerable attention from our visitors who like to compete and hope to win prizes. Again this year we have included our Children's Section of the Horticultural Open Show, children must be aged 11 or under.
Football Tournament
2012 will be the 6th year of our football tournament, taking place within its own arena on Sunday starting at 1.00pm.
Touch Rugby Tournament
This will be held on Saturday between 12.00 noon and 4.00pm. Teams of mixed ages competing against each other, lots of family fun.
Fun Run
Why not take part in our Fun Run. Approximately 2 miles around the surrounding Dene and back. Prizes for adults and children to be won. Entry Forms available now.

Parade
The Parade marches through Peterlee from the Leisure Centre to the Show Field. Jazz Bands, Pipe and Brass Bands are joined by a mix of children and adults from local organisations taking part.
Fun Fair
Nobles will once again be onsite to provide the most thrilling rides for our visitors. Proving to be a constant source of enjoyment for all the family, residents flock to the field to have some fun.
Marquees
As well as our Horticultural Marquee we also have marquees dedicated to Community Life, Arts, Crafts & Hobbies and Voluntary Organisations. Application forms now available.

New for theis year is a Mini Food Festival which will be held in the Family Room of the Pavilion. There will be a mix of stalls including Fairy Cakes, Gingerbread Mams and lots more.....Application forms available now.
