The Bishop Auckland Food Festival (BAFF) returns in April 2014 with a weekend of amazing artisan food and drink for food lovers from across the county and beyond.

The festival will once again be a celebration of the very best of North East cuisine with hand-picked producers bringing a wide variety of fabulous food and delicious drinks to Bishop Auckland.

We're proud to be working in partnership with the Auckland Castle Trust and Durham County Council to bring this mouth-watering yearly treat to the county.

This year, BAFF will be staged in Bishop Auckland market place and the grounds of Auckland Castle over the weekend of Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April. The focus will be on local producers and exhibitors, showing visitors from across the country the stunning food County Durham has to offer.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a mix of County Durham and regional producers as well as street food and produce from further afield. As well as mouth-watering food, there'll also be locally produced beers, wines, liqueurs and speciality cordials as well as hot and cold drinks.

For those with green fingers, there'll also be a selection of indoor and outdoor plants, trees and herbs as well as speciality bedding plants. With free entry to the event and many of the stallholders offering tantalising tasters the festival promises to be foodie heaven.

In 2013, the event saw producers showcasing their wares across 160 stalls, with an estimated 35,000 people visiting across the weekend, and BAFF 2014 is on course to be our best ever.
