Donations
The Town Council have a small budget for donations for local groups and organisations and applications are considered three times per year in June, November and February.
Requests for financial support should be made in writing giving a brief outline of the project and how this contributes to the life and wellbeing of Barnard Castle and gives benefit to some or all of the people of the Town. Applications should be supported by financial information.
The following organisations were supported during 2012/13
£100 – Teesdale YMCA – towards healthy eating initiative
£400 – Girlguiding Barnard Castle – towards handrails for new Guide Headquarters in Barnard Castle
£100 – Butterwick Hospice – towards services of the organisation
£200 – RSVPE NE – towards GP Car Driving Scheme
£200 – Teesdale Disability Access Forum – towards overall services of the organisation
£55 – DCC – Holocaust Memorial Day at Durham Cathedral involving local schools
£100 – Great North Air Ambulance – towards work of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for people of North East and Cumbria
£145 – The Witham – towards purchase of equipment for new meeting room
£100 – The Learning Library – towards work of the organisation in the Barnard Castle area
£100 – Barnard Castle Meet – towards the 2013 event

£300 – Teesdale Disability Access Forum – towards mobility equipment for the Wheelchair and Mobility Aid Service
£500 – Great North Air Ambulance – towards the work of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for people of North East and Cumbria
